The common thought is that the Jewish people were expecting a Messiah who would overcome the Roman government and establish an earthly kingdom. Jesus didn't do that. The lesson we can learn is do we miss out on what God has for us simply because he doesn't fit into what we expect him to do? It’s hard to say why they rejected Jesus. One thing that has ALWAYS confused me…and I don’t want to sound ignorant or like an idiot here, but I have NEVER understood why the Jewish People reject Jesus as the son of god…WHY?
