About

Rev. Rob Dale

I am the Lead Pastor of two churches in Ottawa, Canada. I have served Bikers’ Church since it’s launch in January 2002. In late December 2010, I also took the lead role at City Church. The two churches share one building in the community of Vanier, near the downtown core.

Along with my passion for God, my family, and the Church, I love jumping on my motorcycle and exploring the open road.

The Oil Change

When I was 16, I bought my first motorcycle. No one told me that I should keep an eye on things like the oil level. Sure enough, one cold evening I blew the motor. The oil – what was left of it – was black from a full season of riding. I learned a valuable lesson that summer: regular maintenance of a vehicle is important. Leave the oil too long, and it becomes useless.

In the same way, we need to keep our spiritual life fresh. We need to “change the oil” on a regular basis. That’s the goal behind these simple devotionals. They are taken from my own experiences and spiritual journey in hope that they help you stay fresh on your journey.

I began writing The Oil Change in September 2007. My desire was to share my love for the Bible in a way that would be easy for everyone to understand. These devotionals are not perfect, but they are honest.
